Yvonne Force Villareal began her public career in the arts in 1995 as the President and Curator of Yvonne Force Inc. (YFI), a company backed in part by Laurance S. Rockefeller and established to support young contemporary artists. In 1998 YFI produced their first public art project, a performance by Vanessa Beecroft, titled “SHOW” at the Guggenheim Museum (shown above). The success of this work inspired Ms. Force to co-found Art Production Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to commissioning and producing ambitious public art projects.
Yvonne has always been one of the more fashionable figures in today’s artworld. So it seemed only proper to create an identity with the fashion cues of thin, elegant lines and camel — once described as the color that makes everything look expensive.
